Huebly ("Huebly," "we," "us") is a marketing platform that helps brands and creators plan, write, publish and measure their content, with AI built in. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Huebly's website and app (the "Service"), what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us, what your connected accounts let us read, and basic technical data.
  • We use it to run Huebly for you, and for nothing else you wouldn't expect.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.
  • Nothing is published to your accounts without an action from you or an automation you turned on.
  • You can disconnect any account, export your data, or delete everything at any time.

1. What we collect

Account details. Your name, email address and profile photo. If you sign up with email, your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and we never see or store it in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo from Google.

Brand information. What you tell us about your brand or yourself during onboarding and in Settings: name, website, category, description, audience, voice, goals, logos and other brand assets. If you give us a website address, we read the public pages of that site to fill in your brand profile.

Your content. Captions, images, videos, campaign plans, checklists, brainstorms, agent conversations, reference images and anything else you create, upload, schedule or publish in Huebly.

Connected accounts. When you connect a social account or Google Drive, the platform gives us an access token and the information covered by the permissions you approve. Section 4 lists exactly what each one covers.

People who interact with your accounts. If you turn on an automation (for example, replying to comments), we receive the comments or messages that trigger it, including the sender's username, platform ID and message text, so we can draft or send a reply and show it to you for review.

Competitor and market research. When you ask Huebly to research competitors, we search the public web and store what we find, such as names, websites, logos, public social profiles and follower counts.

Technical data. Basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser and device type, and error logs, which we use to keep the Service secure and working.

2. How we use it

  • To run Huebly: your dashboard, Content Studio, campaigns, analytics, automations, agents and settings.
  • To publish, schedule or reply on the accounts you connect, when you ask us to or when an automation you turned on runs.
  • To show your real posts, followers and engagement back to you in Analytics and Reports.
  • To generate AI suggestions (captions, ideas, strategies, designs, insights) grounded in your brand.
  • To keep your account secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • To contact you about your account, security, or important changes to the Service.

We don't sell your personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use your content or connected-account data to train AI models.

3. AI features

Huebly's AI features send your prompt, together with the brand context needed to answer it (such as your brand profile, relevant posts or campaign details, and any images you attach), to an AI provider that returns a response. By default this is Anthropic (Claude); if you choose ChatGPT in Settings, it's OpenAI. Some features, such as competitor research and agents, can also search the public web while they work.

Both providers process this data to produce a response. Under their API terms, neither uses it to train its models by default. AI output can be wrong, so always review it before you publish or act on it.

4. Connected accounts and platform data

You choose which accounts to connect, and you can disconnect any of them at any time from Settings → Connections.

  • Instagram (Meta). Your profile basics (name, username, photo, follower count), your posts and their insights, and permission to publish posts and read and reply to comments.
  • Facebook (Meta). The Pages you choose to share, their posts and insights, and permission to publish to those Pages.
  • X. Your profile, your posts, and permission to publish posts on your behalf.
  • TikTok. Your basic profile, account stats (such as follower count) and your list of videos with their performance.
  • YouTube (Google). Read-only access to your channel and videos, and permission to upload videos you choose to publish.
  • LinkedIn. Your name, photo and email, and permission to share posts as you.
  • Google Drive. Read-only access so you can pick images and videos from your Drive to use in Huebly. We only download the files you select.

Access tokens are stored on our servers and never exposed to your browser or other users. Your use of each platform is also governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

Google user data.Huebly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the features you see in Huebly. We don't sell it, don't use it for advertising, don't let humans read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires, and don't use it to train AI models.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run Huebly, and only as much as they need:

  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud: sign-in, database and file storage.
  • Vercel: hosting and serving the app.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI: generating AI responses (see Section 3).
  • The platforms you connect (Meta, X, TikTok, Google/YouTube, LinkedIn): to publish, reply and read insights on your behalf.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the Service, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

6. Storage and security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. Some things, such as content drafts and your interface preferences, are also kept in your browser's local storage so they load quickly. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the Service.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use only what Huebly needs to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your selected brand and AI provider, and saving drafts and preferences. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you disconnect an account, we delete its access token straight away. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we have to keep something longer to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or enforce our terms. Backups roll off within a further 30 days.

9. Your rights and choices

  • Access and correct. Most of your data can be viewed and edited in Settings.
  • Disconnect. Remove any connected account from Settings → Connections. You can also revoke access from the platform's own settings.
  • Export. Ask us for a copy of your data.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
  • Object or restrict. Ask us to stop or limit certain processing.

Depending on where you live (for example under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012, the EU/UK GDPR, or California law), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email privacy@huebly.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

10. Deleting data from Facebook, Instagram and other platforms

To remove the data Huebly holds from a connected platform:

  • In Huebly, go to Settings → Connections and choose Disconnect on that account. This deletes its access token and stops all access.
  • Or remove Huebly from the platform itself. For Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites. For Instagram, go to Settings → Apps and websites.
  • To also delete the posts, insights and comments we stored from that account, email privacy@huebly.comfrom your account email with the subject "Data deletion request". We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days.

11. Children

Huebly is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. International transfers

Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
